New work for Chicago Booth Magazine

Last month I was commissioned to illustrate a portrait of Mary Lou Gorno, alumnus of the University of Chicago, to accompany her interview about the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. I love doing portraits but most have been done as private commissions. I’m glad I can share my latest with you.

“1-minutes” are what these short poses are sometimes called. They’re great for capturing body language and design. What I find is that they tend to be honest and instinctual. Less time to think and only time to react. It’s great exercise for the mind and hand.
