Earlier this summer I was asked to create a series of portraits of Nobel laureates and key figures that are a part of the past and present Chicago Booth School of Business. It was an honor to be asked and I’m really happy with how the series came out. Would love to hear your thoughts. Here […]

It’s been a very busy summer and I haven’t really had time to post, but now that I a few projects have been completed, I’d love to share one that has just been released. Back in July I was contacted by Atlantic Re:think, the marketing division of the Atlantic Magazine, to create a series of […]

I was commissioned to create the rainbow background that is currently being used for all of Macy*s Pride Month promotional materials. This was one of those jobs that was bigger than the job. I support LGBTQ rights and can’t really understand how anyone does not. So many strides have been made and I hope that things keep moving in the […]

I was commissioned to create portraits for an Annual Report of Historical Returns for a large global asset manager. The main portrait I had already created for another publication but 2 additional portraits were needed to complement that one. The timeline was extremely tight so I created the portraits in 2 layers, line and color. That […]

I was commissioned to illustrate a series of “insider secrets” for the May issue of The Robb Report. The Robb Report is a luxury lifestyle magazine and each time I work for them I’m given glimpses into what real money can buy. It’s always fun to work on these…

I was asked to illustrate last Sunday’s book review feature for The Boston Globe. It was an intense and complicated story with a few poignant moments from which I was able to put together images. None more powerful than when main character Nargis sews, with golden thread, the tattered pages of the book, “That They Might Know […]

Excited to share my first piece for The Boston Globe. I was asked to illustrate a review of the book Hourglass by Dani Shapiro. I always enjoy the challenge of creating more conceptual work and I’m really happy with how this turned out, especially with only 1 day to turn this illustration around! Here are […]

“1-minutes” are what these short poses are sometimes called. They’re great for capturing body language and design. What I find is that they tend to be honest and instinctual. Less time to think and only time to react. It’s great exercise for the mind and hand.
Happy New Year!
