This book jacket was commissioned by Sandra Brown Communications, an advertising agency based in California. It was great to do, and I’m happy with how it turned out. I’m also really happy that the AD decided to use my original sketch of the woman rather than a more polished drawing of a her. I feel it works as a unique, spontaneous visual, and mimics the life of the author. I’d love to hear your thoughts.
Happy New Year everyone. The latest illustration for the Buzz column deals with the uncomfortable, often obnoxious, gym “buddy”. I really tried to make this guy look as annoying as he is. This was a fun drawing, and I’m always amazed how these awkward etiquette pieces are so enjoyable to work on. I laugh every time! See you here next month.

As the holidays go by so quickly, I thought it might be a nice time to post some holiday work to try and keep the season going just a little longer. These 2 pieces were commissioned by Q30, a design firm based in Canada, as a series of holiday cards for their client, Osler. This was a very challenging assignment, but these are 2 of my favorite pieces of the year. I hope you enjoy them, and I hope you have a happy new year!
